Writing: Read pp. 4-11. Do Try it Out. Write a paragraph about your classmate or friend. Be sure you have a topic sentence, supporting details and examples, and a concluding sentence.

3. Write a short summary-response on 1 article you read in News for You. Write 3-5 sentences for the main idea and key points of the article, and then in the next paragraph, write 3-5 sentences with your opinion about the story.
